Guelph, Ontario. Founded in 2021 by an energy auditor who was tired of writing reports about data that had already gone stale, and an automation chemist who had watched real-time sensor data change how a plant is run. We drive to your floor. The dashboard is the easy part.

Our story
Energy audits weren’t enough.
The idea for Quantify came from a very specific frustration. Dave was doing energy audits — walking through factories, measuring consumption, writing reports. Good work. But there was always this nagging problem: the moment you leave the building, the data is already stale.
At the same time, Tom was on the other side — automating manufacturing facilities in the cannabis industry, watching how real-time sensor data transformed how teams operated. When you can see everything, in real time, you stop guessing and start knowing.
We founded Quantify Environmental to bridge those two worlds — the energy expertise of someone who has walked hundreds of plant floors, and the technical capability to connect every sensor and machine into one live dashboard.

Dave is on a different manufacturing facility and production floor every week. With over ten years of consulting experience, Dave has a proven record of implementing practical ways for factories to reduce water, ingredient and product loss during production, often with ROIs of less than one year.

Tom is a Professional Chemist (ACPBC), Chartered Chemist (ACPO) and Articling Agrologist (BCIA), and holds an HBSc in Analytical Chemistry & Environmental Monitoring from the University of Toronto and an MSc in Biogeochemistry and Hydrogeology from the University of Western Ontario. Tom is a published scientist and inventor, and was named Agrologist of the Month (May 2021) by the British Columbia Institute of Agrologists.

How we work

We make a point of meeting and working directly with every member of your team from the 3:00AM sanitation team to the C-suite leaders.
We install it ourselves
Design, order, build and install the sensor network. One to two days on site, usually without stopping the line.
We stay on the monthly review
The dashboard finds it; the review makes sure it gets fixed. That second half is where the savings actually land.
We build on what you have
Existing meters, PLCs with 4-20 mA outputs, legacy SCADA — we integrate it. We don’t rip things out.
